Oat-EH! is really a worldclass baking mix in disguise. Two of our favourites below. If you're after the batter flavour mix-ins, check them oat right where you order.
Banana oat muffins
You'll need
- 2 cups Oat-EH! mix
- 1 cup water
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 3 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla (optional)
- Handful of walnuts or chocolate chips
How
- Pre-heat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a muffin tin with 9 liners.
- Stir everything together until just combined — lumps are friends.
- Fold in the walnuts or chocolate chips.
- Divide between liners and bake 18–22 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool five minutes. Attempt to eat only one.
Maple oat cookies
You'll need
- 1½ cups Oat-EH! mix
- ⅓ cup butter or coconut oil, melted
- ¼ cup maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla
- ½ cup chocolate chips or raisins
How
- Pre-heat the oven to 350°F (175°C); line a baking sheet with parchment.
- Stir the mix, melted butter, maple syrup and vanilla into a thick dough; fold in the chips or raisins.
- Rest the dough 5 minutes so the oats hydrate.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized balls, flatten gently, bake 10–12 minutes until the edges are golden.
- Cool on the sheet 5 minutes — they firm up as they cool.
Crispy waffles
Standard batter, hot waffle iron, lightly oiled. Let them steam a full cycle before peeking — that's the crisp.
Thin oat crêpes
Add an extra ¼ cup water to loosen the batter, swirl a thin layer in the pan and flip once. Roll with fruit.
