Everything people actually ask us: nutrition, gluten, delivery, wholesale. No fine-print games.

Are oat pancakes healthy?

Ours are made from whole oats and oat flour — a whole grain — with 9g protein, 6g fibre and just 1g naturally occurring sugars per ½-cup serving. No added sugar, no preservatives. Oats contain beta-glucan fibre, associated with helping lower cholesterol, and oat-based foods tend to sit lower on the glycemic index than refined-flour equivalents. We'll let your taste buds and your 11 a.m. hunger levels settle the rest.

Does Oat-EH! contain gluten?

Honest answer: Oat-EH! is made with pure oats, and oats are naturally gluten free — but like most oat products it may contain traces of wheat, so it is not a certified gluten-free product. It may also contain traces of nuts. If you have celiac disease, please treat it accordingly. (Certified purity-protocol oats are on our roadmap.)

How do I make the pancakes or waffles?

Just add water. Combine ½ cup mix with ½ cup water, rest 50 seconds (it thickens slightly), fry ~4 minutes per side in a lightly oiled pan — that's 3 pancakes. Waffles: same batter, hot waffle iron, one full cycle. Full walkthrough on the recipes page.

What are the ingredients?

Proudly made from 95% oats! Five ingredients: oats, oat flour, baking powder, cinnamon, pink salt. The full nutrition facts panel is on the product page.

Where do you deliver?

Anywhere in Canada. One-time orders ship with an $11 flat rate. Subscriptions (every 3 or 6 months — your choice) get free delivery and multi-bag discounts — 2 bags 5% off, 3 bags 10% off, 4+ bags 15% off — plus 2 free bags on the second delivery, one for you and one for a friend.

Is the packaging sustainable?

Sustainability is a founding value: promoting plant-based eating, choosing thoughtful packaging, and shipping on a recurring cadence so fewer boxes travel fewer kilometres.

Can I buy wholesale or stock Oat-EH! in my store?

We'd love that. Cafés, grocers and local businesses: reach out via the contact page or email [email protected] with "Wholesale" in the subject line for pricing and terms.

What should you look for in a healthy pancake mix?

Check three things on the label. First ingredient — a whole grain like oats keeps more fibre than refined white flour. Added sugar — plenty of mixes list it in the first few ingredients; none means you control the sweetness at the table. Length of the list — short and recognisable means fewer additives and preservatives. Also check what the mix asks you to add: eggs, milk and oil change the nutrition of the finished pancake. For the record, Oat-EH! is 95% oats, 0g added sugar, five ingredients, water only.

Is Oat-EH! vegan and dairy-free?

Yes. The bag holds oats, oat flour, baking powder, cinnamon and pink salt — all plant-based, with no dairy, no eggs and no honey. Because the batter is water only, your pancakes and waffles stay vegan too, right up until you decide what goes on top.

Can you make pancakes without eggs, milk or oil?

Yes — it's what this mix is built for. Batter is ½ cup mix + ½ cup water, rested 50 seconds. The baking powder does the lift that eggs usually handle, and the milled oats give the tender crumb you'd normally get from milk and oil. All you need is a lightly oiled pan or waffle iron.

How much protein and fibre are in oat pancakes?

A ½-cup (70g) serving — that's 3 pancakes — has 9g protein and 6g fibre, plus 255 calories, 47g carbohydrate, 1g naturally occurring sugars and 0mg cholesterol. It all comes from the oats themselves, not from added protein powder.

Is oat flour better than wheat flour for pancakes?

They behave differently rather than one simply winning. Oat flour is a whole grain, so it carries more fibre — including beta-glucan, associated with helping lower cholesterol — and oat-based foods tend to sit lower on the glycemic index than refined-flour equivalents. Refined wheat gives a lighter, more neutral pancake; oats give a heartier, slightly nutty one that holds you longer. Want the fluffiest possible white pancake? Wheat. Want fibre and staying power? Oats.

What else can you make with the mix?

Quite a lot — it's really a five-ingredient oat baking mix. Waffles from the identical batter, plus banana oat muffins, maple oat cookies, thin crêpes (just add extra water) and sheet-pan pancakes for a crowd. Recipes live on the recipes page and Get Creative.

How many pancakes does a bag make?

The 350g standard bag makes about 15 pancakes; the 2 lb (904g) family size makes about 38. One ½-cup serving makes 3, so a standard bag is roughly five servings.
